WRFC: November Volunteer Of The Month AWARD & Submit Your December Volunteer Of The Month NOMINATIONS

I am delighted to announce that the November Volunteer of the Month is Alexander Cook ( ‘ Cookie’.).

‘Cookie’ has taken on the role of Men’s 2nd XV Captain which is a very challenging role due to the availability of players.

He richly deserves the award for taking 11 player to Tadley for a friendly game of rugby when Tadley 1st XV match was cancelled as Aldermaston could not raise a side.

This meant that the guests attending the Tadley Vice Presidents Lunch had a game of rugby to watch which is very much in the ‘spirit of rugby’.

In addition when the 2nd XV played Rams at Home Park when Ben Harrington got injured he stayed with him with his Father Chris Cook and Emma, the 2nd XV Physio for 5 hours until an ambulance arrived to treat Ben who had sustained a neck injury. He then stayed with Ben at Wexham Park Hospital until the early hours of the morning.

Cookie will receive his Volunteer of the Month Award at a future League Lunch when he is not playing rugby.
