2025/2026 SEASON

WOMEN'S RUGBY REPORT
So our 2025/2026 season was tough and challenging on and off the pitch but we are continuing to develop and make good headway for our future. The duel registered player incentive from the RFU, helped with our numbers on the pitch for a second season in a row (and yes we managed to play all our scheduled matches again!) and we built further relationships with other clubs.
We managed to stay up in our league again this season and we’ll build on this for the coming season too.
A continued season highlight was our presence on Social Media, great content and creativity to get us Dames out there – thank you to Olivia Brooke, I can’t thank you enough, your effort doesn’t go unmissed.
I’m personally excited for the coming season, we have worked on our coaching structure and have a very strong coaching team for 2026/27 season.
At the helm of the Dames Coaching team, we have our newly appointed Head Coach, Caroline Robinson (an ex-dame, with experience coaching in the women’s game), supported by our newly appointed Assistant Coach, James Dean (Windsor 1st team player, also with good coaching experience).
I’m grateful to both Roger Brown and Steph Goddard for sticking with us last season, running training and managing game days - and I’m so happy that you will continue to support Caroline and James this season, thank you to both.
Our main focus will be recruitment and team togetherness over the next few months – And with Olivia Brooke as our new Captain driving this forward, supported by our soon to be announced Vice Captain supporting her along the way, we are sure for success!
I would personally like to thank Andy Bailes for all his support towards myself and our team - the guidance and support he has given me, really helped me navigate through last season. Thank you Andy.
Andy and I will continue to work together ensuring Senior Rugby for both women and men are aligned in many areas and we will continue to develop this further with the support of Caroline and her coaching team and Liv and her Vice Captain.
Anisha and I still work closely and we’ll continue to do so – Sunday’s can be quite manic at our club, so we will continue with the great stuff learnt from the season to enhance our Sunday plans even further.
I’m genuinely so very excited (yes I’ve found my buzz again!) for the future of our Dames and our Club….One Club, everyone working together, creating positive experiences for all….let’s remember it’s OUR ONE CLUB!
