Under 8s (Year 3)

Our Under 8s welcome all boys and girls in Year 3 who want to have fun, make friends and discover rugby in a safe, supportive environment.

Following the RFU TREDS programme, our sessions focus on developing confidence, teamwork and core rugby skills through fun, non-contact games and activities. At Under 8s there are no scrums, rucks or mauls—just lots of running, passing, tagging and playing. Everything we do is built around the RFU values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.

Whether your child is new to rugby or has played before, everyone is welcome. Our volunteer coaches are enthusiastic parents who are passionate about creating a positive environment where every child can learn, grow and enjoy being part of the team.

Training

We train every Sunday from 9:30am to 11:00am, from September to the end of April, at Home Park, Windsor.

Sessions include fun warm-ups, games, ball skills and tag rugby matches, finishing with team awards in the clubhouse.

New players are welcome to come along for two free sessions before deciding whether to join the club. We’d love to welcome you to Windsor Rugby Club!
