Weekly Newsletter

Last Friday night the Senior Men’s squad travelled to play Chiswick RFC in their final pre-season game before their league campaign starts against Teddington at Home Park on Saturday 6th September 2025.
The match proved again to be very useful preparation before league action begins. The final score was Chiswick RFC 26, Windsor RFC 17.

The Senior Women have been busy in pre-season training and this week have had a joint training session with Phoenix RFC Women on Wednesday night. Their first pre-season friendly is away against Camberley Women this Saturday( 30th August 2025) Kick Off 1.30pm.

Next Saturday ( September 6th 2025) Windsor RFC have a double header with the Senior Women playing a friendly against Teddington RFC before the Men’s Home League Match against Teddington RFC.

HOME PARK UPDATE:

This week Pitch 1, Pitch 2 and the Training areas have been re-seeded as they were both in a very poor state due to the hot dry summer. This has meant that these areas have not recovered from the end of last season and then the Horse and Dog Shows.

The Club has had no option but to invest £9K to do these works as we could not secure any funding to help cover these costs. The Club will shortly be launching a ‘Club Fund Raising Campaign’ to recoup the costs , add a full sized pitch towards Datchet to take the pressure off Pitch 1 and Pitch 2 and purchase equipment to enhance the rugby experience for all sections of the club.

With the weather changing and as long as we can water the pitches if we do not get enough rain these areas should be playable at the beginning of October.

No rugby activities will be taking place on these areas until further notice.

This means the club has only one rugby pitch( Pitch 4 towards Datchet) to play matches during September.
