Last Saturday Windsor RFC held its Dinner and Dance at the Castle Hotel.

Despite numbers being down on previous years it was still a memorable night On behalf of the Club many thanks to those who supported the event, Euphoria Rock for the excellent live music and to the staff at the Castle Hotel.

On the night the following presentations were made:

• Senior Women’s Player of the 2024/2025 season – Lily Cox
• Senior Men’s Player of the 2024/2025 season- Shared by Allen Crawshaw and Ben Grant – Adamson
• At the end of National Volunteers Week the Bob Deeley Award and the Gordon Wigley Awards were presented to recognize the contribution of two individuals.

The Bod Deeley Award was awarded to Matt Stevens, the outgoing Colts Head Coach for all his hard work and dedication coaching in the Mini and Juniors Sections for a number of seasons.
Last season, despite his son’s playing commitments being limited, Matt stepped to breach as Head Coach for the 2024/2025 season managing two squads to a very successful 2024/2025 season.
Matt was unable to attend the event so the trophy was presented to Jason Stone on his behalf.

The Gordon Wigley Award was awarded to Ray Cox who has coached in all sections of the club. This has included coaching the Senior Women’s section for the last 13 years.

Both recipients richly deserved their awards.
