Girl's PUP Festival - 1st March

Spring was definitely in the air as over 200 girls joined the Damsels at Home Park for the Windsor Rugby Club Pitch Up and Play festival - and even the sun made an appearance!
Players and teams from age groups u10s, u12s and u14s played in the tournament-style games. While the u16s hosted Chesham in a friendly match on pitch 2.

Clubs attending included: Bracknell, Maidenhead, Basingstoke, Reading, Reading Abbey, Hungerford, Swindon Roses, Saracens Sonics, WafFuls (Fullerians and Watford), Wasps Grasshoppers, Chesham, Didcot, Newbury and Oxford Quins.

There were some amazing games of rugby played at Home Park pitches with lots of smiles and very little rain.

Damsels joined their Hungerford friends for the Berkshire Warriors teams and had some great results in their age groups.

Extending the PUP to u10s also meant girls from across the clubs getting ready to move up to u12s in the next season had a taster of girls-only rugby.

A note of thanks to coaches Chris Calver, Richard Schofield, Owen Flisher and Sean Moran for leading the day and to all the parent helpers for making it such a success.

The fundraising stall helped to raise funds for the Damsels and local charity Baby Bank.
