Regarding Home Park Public

As you may know at the weekend it was announced in the National Press about The Crown Estates wishing to take over the management of Home Park Public from RBWM.

These discussions have been going on since 2023 and Windsor RFC have been aware of this. This is why the Club’s Redevelopment Project was paused until the future management of Home Park Public had been determined.

On Tuesday night the RBWM Cabinet voted to approve the transfer of management of Home Park Public back to The Crown Estates from the 1st April 2026.

There is still plenty of work to be done but this is a very positive development for all Home Park Users as The Crown Estates is committed to the investment in the grounds, pitches, buildings and infra structure at Home Park Public.

The changes will not be immediate but its clear that the pitches and ground will be the priority and that The Crown Estates want to see thriving sports clubs at Home Park Public.

As a rugby club, this is very positive news, as it is well recognised by RBWM and The Crown Estates that Windsor RFC need to improve its facilities so that it becomes a safe and inclusive place for all men, women , boys and girls to enjoy participating in rugby on and off the field.

The Club’s Board and Management Team look forward to working in partnership with The Crown Estates to ensure that Windsor RFC continues to grow and develop at Home Park Public.

The Club will keep you updated on any further developments in due course.

Mike Crawshaw
On Behalf of the Board of Windsor RFC
