The Prince Philip Trust Fund

The Prince Philip Trust Fund

Anisha Oram22 May - 16:00

Thank you!

On behalf of Windsor RFC, I would like to thank The Prince Philip Trust Fund for their support of Windsor RFC during the 2025/2026 season.

Their support is greatly appreciated at a time when Windsor RFC continues to play a major role in the local community, fielding three men’s sides, a senior women’s side, as well as supporting nearly 500 boys and girls.

The Prince Philip Trust Fund kindly gave the Windsor RFC Minis Tour Committee a donation of £2,000 for the “Leave No Player Behind” campaign, ensuring that players who did not have the financial resources were still able to go on the tour to West Mersea in March.

In addition, in May, the Prince Philip Trust Fund donated £1,500 to the Windsor RFC Pitch Fund, which was launched last September to help recoup the club’s investment in the rugby pitches at Home Park Public Ground following the very hot and dry summer. The investment also included the reinstatement of a new full-sized rugby pitch.

This investment was much needed and clearly helped Windsor RFC navigate a very wet winter, with very few cancellations, ensuring that men, women, boys and girls were able to play rugby at a time when many local clubs were having to cancel matches.

Once again, a very big thank you to the Trustees of the Prince Philip Trust Fund. Windsor RFC looks forward to welcoming representatives from the Trust to one of its pre-match league lunches at the start of the 2026/2027 season in order to thank them personally.

Chris Aitken, Secretary and Trustee of The Prince Philip Trust Fund, said:

“Windsor RFC continues to make a tremendous contribution to grassroots rugby and the local community. The club does fantastic work in providing young people with a welcoming environment in which they can develop confidence, teamwork and resilience both on and off the pitch. We are proud to support projects that help Windsor RFC expand opportunities for participation, improve facilities and strengthen its work with young players and families.”
