WRFC are pleased to announce that Nick Scott. (Middle) joins us this year as Asst Coach with responsibility for the DXV. Nick comes from our friends and rivals at Reading RFC and also is on the Berks Ladies Coaching team. The DXV and wider squad will benefit from his analytical approach gained from his time as Analyst at Quins.
The season is now underway and we confirm that he coaching team and managment is now in place - the rest of the team are detailed below.
Andrew Symons returns for his 4th year as Men's Head Coach. With ambition of returning to Level 6 Andy's experience -professional approach gleaned from his playing days in the Premiership will be required to achieve this goal. He has achieved promotion before so lets do it again.
Colin Thomson returns to the club as Forwards Player Coach after 12 or so years away playing National One with RAMS. The forwards will benefit from his knowledge, experience and playing ability, early improvement is already showing with the forwards numbers increasing each week and solid attendance at training.
Ollie Brown. We are delighted that Ollie has decided to stay with us as Head Physio. His involment and dedication to the players is respected by all the players. We are blessed to have a Physio who understands the players and offers a structured rehab startegy.
Simon Turley. Simon a club stalwart takes on the role of Head of Mens Rugby and team Manager for the 1sts and DXV. We are delighted he's back with the team.
