Yesterday was a very special day as it was the day that marked the management of Home Park transferring back to the Crown Estates.
Over 70 people from the Home Park sports clubs and the Crown Estates and Shorts, the new grounds maintenance contractor came together to pick litter and clear rubbish from Home Park Public.
The state of the grounds is a marked improvement as a result of a lot of the hard work undertaken by everybody.
The Crown Estates have also intsalled new signage around Home Park Public.
I would like to thank all those members from Windsor RFC for giving their time this morning.
A big thank to Tony for his hard work with lunch also for all the volunteers.
The pitch works NOW start on Pitch 1, Pitch 2, U13s pitch and all the U6s, U7s and U8s pitches.
These areas MUST NOT be used for playing rugby or training until further notice.
The rugby posts on pitch 1 and pitch 2 will be taken down at the weekend.
All rugby activities ( i.e. playing and training) MUST NOW take place on the U11s and U12s minis pitches and Pitch 4, and 5 and their surrounding areas.
These areas will be renovated next Spring.
Existing parking arrangements will continue until further notice for Home Park Sports Users but you will notice new signage in Home Park Public.
To finish it was a very positive day at Home Park with much excitement!
Its exciting times for Windsor RFC and all Home Park Sports Clubs as Windsor RFC come to the end of the 2025/2026 season and start preparing for the 2026/2027 season.
The club will keep you all updated on a regular basis.
